Small ship
October
Pros: Smaller size allows you to meet other guests; smaller size allows for personalized services
Cons: Pricey; later port times made for rushed and unpleasant excursions
Recommended: Yes
We loved this cruise. The crew was was wonderful. The only downside to this trip was the later port times. We were rushed to get through tours and in some cases things were closed or it was dark so you couldn’t see what guides were telling you about.

Pros: beautiful ship, service was superb,
Cons: showers very small, no port talks, not enough info about what to do
Recommended: Yes
Would have given up the industrial ports with not much to see for more time in N.S, and Quebec and Montreal

Oceania’s decline
May
Pros: Not much
Cons: Food quality, quantity and variety; no special events onboard; short staff; poorly trained staff
Recommended: No
Oceania used to be my “go to” cruise line for the finest cuisine at sea and wonderful ships and itineraries. But no more. In spite of increasing fares and fees, it has significantly cut corners everywhere. The finest cuisine at sea is now no better than any other cruise line. Food quality has degraded significantly—all the beef served was tough, even filets. Variety has decreased —fewer choices and cheaper cuts of meat. Also of note is the fact that no special culinary events were put on—no buffets, no cooking demonstrations. My cruise occurred over Mother’s Day and absolutely nothing was done in recognition of the day. There was not even mention of the day in the Daily Currents bulletin. And the ship (Nautica) is in decline—My cabin had no hot water in the wash basin sink and it was never repaired despite numerous complaints—three times to the Hotel Manager himself. And there was mold in my shower. In the past, I willingly paid a premium price for Oceania’s premium product, but the premium product is gone, on top of their increased prices. The value is gone and I’m moving on.

Great cruise
March
Pros: The destinations and shore excursions; the comfort of the ship & stateroom; the staff; activities and O Points with gifts; the spa treatments
Cons: Too formal dress code (prefer more casual); stateroom did not have ventilation; dinner and shows start too late; medical cost too high for services
Recommended: Yes
The itinerary was excellent and the shore excursions were very well done. The places we saw and the tours were incredible. The staff on the ship and especially the spa and our butler were excellent, although the products that the spa sells were excellent but too expensive. The stateroom was very comfortable but had a few things that needed to be improved. We unfortunately missed several ports of call because of weather but understand this can happen. We will book a larger stateroom for a trip of this length again. We are strongly considering several additional Oceania cruises that are offered in 2025. Overall we had a wonderful experience on this exceptional vacation.

Med Johrney
October
Pros: Seamless and we'll taken care of for every need. Amazing
Cons: Venice as one of the itineraries was not as advertised. The port we were in and standing in a line to get to Venice was almost two hours and that would not include actually getting on to the island. I actually gave up. That was a disappointment.

I have cruised on beautiful Oceiana four times with another Transatlantic in March 2024. As a solo traveler the solo cabins were a great idea and very well appreciated indeed. Thankyou for considering a true need in the cruise industry. I do wish the the single supplement was not so high.

A Timely Getaway
October
Pros: Comfortable suite, butler and maid were great and very friendly and extremely competent. The cruise was very smooth and the ship was easy to navigate. Food was excellent especially the Toscana. Also the wine tasting were fun and informative.
Cons: We overdid the tours. Doing one every day was too much but that was our election.
Recommended: Yes
Overall excellent trip and the service and entertainment was well done.
